triptus interrupted

Got a call that almost put the trip on hold, and still very well could. You see, I am a migrant film worker, a Director of Photography to be precise, and I take work when and where I can get it. Since I am a "freelance" kinda guy, no staff position, job duration the length of any given project and there are no guarantees that a show (I work mostly in TV) is even going to last as long as the people that have hired you say it is.
Anyhoo, got a call that the producers of a new show starring Eddie Izzard are interested in me for their new TV series. I am a HUGE Eddie Izzard fan, it' s new one-hour drama-comedy thing for FX and woud be a great gig. BUT, the start date conflicts with my trip plans. My wife wants me to turn the show down if offered......I hate turning down work but I understand where she is coming from.
In the whole job-getting-process I haven't actually been called in for an interview....the whole thing could just fade away....and I would be ok with that. The ideal scenario of course would be that the start date of the show gets "pushed", delayed for two weeks, I get an interview, they love me and hire me, I go on the trip, come back and go to work. What's wrong with that???Not a thing. In the randomfuckedupness of this Universe, it could definitely happen.....or not. Whoo-whoo!

The Tank

My daughter's car which we sold and is helping to pay for her stay in Aix en Provence where we (my wife and I) are going as the first leg in a European excursion.
We will be visitting Florence, Rome, and Paris on this trip. Our daughter and one of her roommates will be joining us in Paris for two nights.
